So for some reason I can't line up these pictures correctly but to sum it up Ryan and I took Mike hiking with us the other day. Ten minutes into the hike we were all sure he was going to have to turn back or literally die.

Much to everyones surprise ,including his own, he kept pushing himself up the trail. It was a beautiful day for a walk in the woods as you can see

When Ryan and I got to the top the clouds were hovering around the Presidentials. If you look closely you can see the summit buildings on Mt. Washington in the clouds

So we waited for Mike and relaxed by the fireplace. About half an hour later along came Mike doing what he does best when hiking...falling down

We all finally were at the summit where we had a snack, fed some Gray Jays and then Ryan and I went on to the next Summit. Mike elected to stay and relax in the afternoon sun right where he was.

After a long slow tumble down the mountain the sun set on Mikes winter hiking career

Bugaboo Creek and trail mix my ass. I looked at the pictures. Ryan gets his energy from that quick pick me up at "tin o'clock". Ahhh, the first dip of the day tastes like ham. What better way to power up a hike?
PS--I spelled something wrong the first time I posted and apparently it makes a note of it to publicly humiliate me.
brett how do you remember things like the first dip of the day tastes like ham? I'm going to have to hire you to write my biography! i hear you'd like to take yogi hiking, you should join us this summer and we can get more pictures of you cradling teethead like the new guy he is.
p.s. make sure you bring you're two ply boxers!
Ahh Ryan. I've got a mind like a steel trap. A steel trap that has been properly baited for useless information. How do I remember Meshak Taylor? How do I remember "DOOV...cough cough cough" (sound of a car backfiring)? How do I remember wowing Teethead with my lyrical stylings? Steel trap, my friend, that's how.
As for the hiking, we've got to work Yogi up to it. I bought him the hiking with dogs book that Derek saw at EMS. He's not ready for most of those. But yes, I'm sure he'd like to go hiking.
