The Groundhog Was Wrong!!

Well another month has slipped by since the last post. I guess time really does fly when you are having fun! We have been pretty busy starting with a trip to Loon Mountain for a few days over MLK weekend to use the pools and do a little snowshoeing and just relax. Then Jen and I went on a barrel tasting of the seacoast wineries for a day to ourselves, followed the next morning with a little hike in Pawtuckaway before fetching the girls. Emily turned 5 years old, and then for a while it seemed like spring was here. We had no snow left in the yard and the groundhog said it was going to be here soon. We even took the girls for a walk around Adams Point where they got muddy, not snowy. Then a couple days later we got 8 inches of snow, followed by another 6 yesterday, and now temps are supposed to drop below zero this weekend. Ugh. We tried to make the best of it and took the girls out snowshoeing again Sunday before the Superbowl for some fresh air and sunshine since now it looks like winter may be here to stay for a bit. I guess that's what you should expect in February and there's no point in sitting inside if you don't have to.
