Not a whole lot going on around here this year for Mothers Day. While much of the family was up in Maine at Allison's graduation Jen was working most of the day so Brooke and I hung out until she got home. I taught her to give Jen the gifts, then we did some quick visiting and that was that but happy Mother's day to all the mothers out there. There's a few pictures from the day and the last couple days here if you like.Apparently there's a NH state lilac photo contest every year and they give away some nice prizes. I know there's a few other people in the family who enjoy photography so here's the information if you want to enter some pictures. Even if you don't want to I usually don't like to do this type of stuff but I told Jen's brother I'd at least try so if you know where there are any particularly good lilac scenes or bushes feel free to let me know before they're gone. And last my mother told me the shuttle would be visible tonight so I went out at 9:15 and checked it out. Then Jen and I went out to see it again at 10:53. It was pretty neat to see this thing that is 250 miles up moving at 20,000 miles an hour just slide across the sky like a slow moving shooting star. I wasn't sure what to expect so by the time I saw it coming and set up the picture was kind of hurried and came out lousy, but it's a picture from the back yard if you missed it. It's going by again a few times in the next few nights so if you want to see it for yourself here's a schedule of when and where you can do that.
