Winnipesaukee And More Summer Fun!!

Well that is about it for another summer. Unofficially it's over, as the girls started school today. Brooke was excited to be going to a new school and Emily was excited to be starting kindergarten in a new school as well. They both hopped on the bus together this morning and off they went! Both said they had a great first day so that was awesome, and hopefully it continues to be just as good for them. There's a few pics from their first day back here if you'd like to see them.

To finish up summer we had our second week of vacation this year, which, while just a bit different this year because of being short handed at work and the really hot weather, was still a lot of fun. What better place to spend a week than at Lake Winnipesaukee when it's 95 degrees out?! We got to have campfires, swim, jet ski, go for boat rides, go to the drive in movies, fish, watch the meteor showers, kayak and more. The girls had a fun week playing with Cam and Brandon and they all got along great. We even got a visit from Jason and Daniella along with Sebastian, so along with the regular crowd we got to relax and hang out with a big chunk of the family. Normally we go for a day trip somewhere and a hike but it was so hot we stayed close to the water all week, so there are a lot of pictures of kids jumping and swimming among other things, and if you want to see them you can find them all right here.

For the last few days of summer we took the girls on a hike up Mt. Kearsarge to celebrate the park service's 100th birthday. If you said happy birthday to them you got in to the NH state parks for free last Thursday, which did us no good as we already have the annual parks pass license plate, but we had a fun little hike anyhow, and you can find some pics from that here.

And finally Saturday my parents watched the kids while Jen and I went up to tube the Saco River for Danny's 30th birthday outing. It was a great day for it with warm but not too hot temps and plenty of sunshine, and we spent about 6 hours floating down the river with some floating provisions and music to enjoy as we bobbed along. Lots of fun and a great way to finish off the summer for the adults! :D So for some pics from that you can click here.
