Well that's a wrap on March and Easter for 2015. We started the day with a big egg hunt at home with the girls which they were very excited about. Then we went next door and had a huge crowd this year at my parents house, maybe the biggest ever. 31 people in all from all across the country including Scott, Therese and Jennifer who were out from Colorado this year. Always good to see everyone and have all the home cooking and specialties we love. Then it was off to Jen's parents for another dozen faces and more Easter fun before we all came home and crashed from overeating and exhaustion! :-)
March was busy with my mother's birthday on the 26th and a party at our house for that as well as Jen and I going away for our annual Spring fling instead of a lot of Christmas presents. We left the girls with Grammy and Grumpet for the weekend to have lots of fun while we headed south. Usually we go to Acadia for our weekend but this year it wasn't working out with Easter, work and school vacation all crammed into April, so we headed for Virginia and Shenandoah National Park where average temps are in the 60's by now. Well, we hit a record cold snap and it really messed things up, but we got a lot of laughs and memories out of the trip and some time with just the two of us, so that's all that matters. I don't think we'll be rushing back there next year, but sometime again in nicer weather, say early May instead, maybe we'll gibe it a shot.
And Ryan and I continued our quest to hike all 115 of the 4000 foot tall mountains in the northeast with another trip to the Adirondacks. 2 more mountains were added to the total on a long day trip but it was lots of fun and always good to catch up on the long rides. Now we're at 83/115, with all the remaining ones in the Adirondacks.
So that's what we've been up to for the last few weeks. There's a group of pictures with a little bit of everything here if interested in seeing more. For a more in depth (probably too in depth for most people) look at our road trip to Virginia you can click here and for the pictures from the Adirondacks (if you're curious what sledding down a mountain looks like) you can click right here. Next up is April vacation and hopefully spring will have actually arrived by then and we can get out and do some fun stuff, so until then that's all we've got for you.
