Mid February Fun!!

Hope you're all enjoying winter! The snow just keeps on coming around here and you'd never know spring is just a few weeks away. Another couple of storms and now we have more snow than I ever remember seeing here and just might have snowbanks until June. In the middle of the yard it's over Emily's head and we have paths shoveled around to get from place to place. Last weekend Danny helped me shovel 3 1/2 feet of snow off the roof and we ended up with snowbanks up to the roof line and the girls just climbed on up and slid/jumped on down the other side. On top of that it's been so cold the girls can barely go out and play in it, but yesterday we got a break in the arctic air for 24 hours and the temp actually got to the mid 30s! The girls wanted to go to LL Bean so we packed the snowshoes and went up that way to hike Bradbury Mountain and then tour the store. I don't think Ashley remembered any of it because everything got a bit "woooooow" out of her. They had fun there as usual and now the cold air is returning. It's supposed to hit -7 here tonight, and stay cool all week, so who knows what we'll get to do for the rest of School Vacation week but hopefully there's some more fun in store before it's over. We shall see. For now to see pictures from the last week or so you can click right here and if anything else worth posting happens I'll be sure and update the blog as soon as I get a chance.

Blizzards and Birthdays

To finish off January mother nature has been continuously dumping feet of snow on us and there's no sign of it ending any time soon. It started two weeks ago and we have gotten over 4 feet since then, with another 12-18 on the way over the next day or two. I can't remember ever getting that much in such a short time, but if it ever stops it'll make for some nice snowshoeing in this part of the state. In the meantime we've been playing and sledding in it in the yard and making the best of it. Emily turned 4 years old last week. She and Brandon had a joint party at Air Zone and we had another small party at home for her on her actual birthday also with the Elsa cake Jen made for her. Jen's cake skills are getting pretty impressive. The Patriots won the Superbowl and we had a fun little gat together here for the game, so now in the last 6 years Brooke has seen the Celtics, Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots all win championships. Not a bad run. Other than that not a whole lot has been going on, so without further ado I'll link the latest round of pictures and get back to my shoveling and roof raking. Pictures can be found by clicking here. Hope you all get out and enjoy the snow!
