It's the Holiday season...

Well the most wonderful time of the year has returned! Off to a good start so far with a great Thanksgiving that included lots of great food, family and fun as always. Then since we went artificial on the tree last year we got that up and decorated earlier than usual as well, and the rest of the house while we were at it. The girls had a lot of fun decorating and were really into it this year so we had a fun evening with that. Now come the holiday concerts, TV shows, shopping, Christmas parties and everything else we wait for all year. All we need is to make time to enjoy it because it always seems to be gone before you know it. Hopefully we get to visit with everyone before it's all said and done, and for now click here for a few pics from the start of the season

And just in case you want a little snow with your holidays here's a bunch of pictures from a backpacking trip I went on with Ryan and Steven the weekend before last in the Carter range of the White Mountains. The week before I hiked Mt. Washington in shorts. The next weekend there was snow. There's a lot, but I'm too lazy to make a smaller album so flip through them or skip them altogether if you want by clicking here.

Lots Of Catching Up To Do! Sept/Oct/Nov

Well it's once again been a long time since my last update. Such a nice extended summer we have been keeping busy. Going back to September Emily started preschool and loves it, Jen and I had our 9th anniversary and went away for a day without the kids. We've been out on a lot of little walks and hikes in the nice weather, carving pumpkins and trick-or-treating, then a trip to the aquarium and even another wine night. So a busy few months for everyone. I won't write a book this time, but there are a lot of pictures that pretty much cover it all, so if you're interested in seeing what we have been up to you can click right here. That's all until next time. Thanks for checking in and hope to see you all soon as the Holidays arrive.

That's a wrap on summer!!

Well, that's a wrap on summer. Bummer. We had a good one with lots of fun. Hiking, beaches, lakes, camping and more. We finished it up with a Labor Day weekend camping trip to Mount Blue State Park up in Maine. It was our first trip there but we really liked it. There was a little bit of everything we like to do from mountains and hiking to water and beaches and even a nice mime/magic show at the amphitheater to entertain the first night we were there. The only down side was we caught it in the middle of a record heat wave for September so we didn't get to do everything we wanted, but we liked it enough that I'm sure we'll be back.

Other than that since the last update we've been out to Chebeague Island in Maine to visit with the Troys and Barons, back to the beaches, Jen and I went to a couple concerts and we've been to Hampton Beach a few times to see the free concerts there and watch the fireworks. Then Brooke started school last week so things are slowing down and getting on schedule around here. Emily starts preschool tomorrow and soccer this weekend and that's about all we have on tap at the moment. For now to see some pictures from the last month or so you can find a few here and for a bunch from Labor Day weekend in Maine there's another group here. That's all for now but check back soon.

Winnipesaukee 2015

Well our second week of summer vacation has come and gone. We had another great week up at Lake Winnipesaukee again this year. Lots of family, friends, food and fun with great weather all week long. The girls had a great time as always and Jen and I had a lazy laid back week on the water ourselves. Sun, swimming, kayaks, hikes, shopping, mini golf, fishing, fires and more. Sad that summer has flown by but we've done our best to jam it full of fun stuff for the girls and still have a few weeks left before Brooke and Emily go to school. There's a lot of pictures from this one so I'll let them do most of the talking and just say thanks again to everyone for everything. Hope we can all get together again next year! To see the rest of the pictures you can click right here.

Summer Fun & Sun!!

Well, where do I begin this one?! Summer arrived and we got busy. That means a lot of pictures and no time to post them all yet. But today is a rainy day so that's the time to do it I guess. Since the last post our littlest girl turned two years old, we went to the 4th of July cookout to see some family and fireworks, then we went on our week long summer camping trip to Acadia, where Jen's parents, Sophia and the Griffins joined us this year, and returned to the summer heat, so we've been off at the beaches and lakes and yesterday took the kids to York's Wild Kingdom for the afternoon. Phew!! A fun but full few weeks. Most of that will be rolled into one post and the vacation pics will get their own, since there's so many of them.

It took a week to take them all and another week just to sort them out. I still ended up with maybe the biggest collection I've ever had. But I guess with a bunch of hikes, picnics, beach days, sunrises, sunsets, beach combing, band concerts, blueberry picking and a whale watch that is what you get! The weather was great and the girls were really good for having as many long days and short naps as they did. It was a full and fun week for sure, so if you want to see this years installment of our summer trip to Acadia you can click right here

The rest of the stuff is here if that wasn't enough pictures for you. Next week is the week at Lake Winnipesaukee, so I'm sure there will be plenty more to see once I get those loaded up and sorted out since there always is. Two of the best weeks of the year for us, filled with family, fun and friends! So check one of them out now if you want and come back in a little while for the other and anything else that may happen in between them. Bye for now!
