Goodbye Spring, Hello Summer!!

Summer has officially arrived and with it came a beautiful stretch of weather. We've taken advantage of it and gone for a hike and a swim in Bear Brook state park, cooked some lobsters on Fathers Day, gone to check out the sand sculptures and see a concert at the beach and had a perfect day for the Nana Nana memorial fundraising North Shore Cancer 10K on Sunday. Jen has also been busy with the girls at the pools and around the yard and had her 34th birthday on Monday. Hopefully this is just the tip of the iceberg as far as summer fun goes.

If you didn't get the updated e-vite or Facebook messages from Jen we have had to move Ashley's first birthday party to the same day as her baptism. Jen tried for a month to get her shift covered but not surprisingly nobody else wanted to work the night of the 4th and her manager couldn't get her the night off, so unfortunately she's stuck with it, which means we'll be rolling the parties into one. The Baptism is at 1 and anyone is welcome to go to St. Michael's for that, and or the party(s) will be after that, so if the birthday is still something you'd like to come to we'll probably be back at the house and ready for that by 3. Sorry for the short notice but hope you can still make it.

That's about it for now. Hopefully there is a lot more summer fun to come so check back soon. Besides this weekend we'll beheaded to Acadia for the week after the 4th for summer vacation. If the weather is as nice then as it has been for the last week and we'll have a lot to share, but to see the latest round of pictures from the last 10 days or so you can click right here. Bye for now!

Summertime is finally here...

Well tee ball and kindergarten are now over and summertime seems to be arriving right on schedule. The weekend was nice and the week ahead looks even better. Fathers Day was nice today even though Jen had to work tonight. We boiled some lobsters and made lobster salad before going to get an Orange Leaf and then the girls and I went to my parents for some of the best steak and wine you can find. Not a bad way to spend the day. Jen had a big yard sale to clean up the garage and basement last week and I've been busy doing yard work and when not busy with that stuff we've worked in some fun. We went to the beach and got ice cream, went for a few more hikes, had a picnic and have been busy enjoying all the other things you can do outside when the weather finally gets nice and the black flies go away. Other than Emily falling and splitting her lip two weeks ago everything has been great. Next weekend we have a birthday party (at a pool) and a 10K cancer fundraising walk to do down in Salem in honor of Nana Ford. Then it's Jen's birthday and Ashley's Baptism and the 4th of July and summer vacation after that. Going to be a busy few weeks ahead and we should have a lot to share but in the meantime to see what we've been up to since the last post you can click right here. That's all for now.
