Winter Finale 2014

Well winter has finally come to an end, and what a winter it was. A good old fashioned New England winter with lots of snow and plenty of cold cold days. There were ups and downs, from a fun first Christmas in our house to Nana Noveska passing away we saw a little bit of everything. We got in a few snowshoe trips, although not as many as we'd have liked because it was always so cold, but the girls had lots of fun going to movies and playing inside, going on play dates and getting out when the weather allowed. Spring is trying to break through and we've had a few nice days, and even managed a little hike last weekend in Newbury up Old Town Hill with Sophia. Ashley is getting more teeth and trying to crawl but only managing to scoot backwards most of the time. Brooke is reading really well and Emily still works on learning her letters and counting at home with Jen. I went on a day trip to the Adirondack's with Ryan to hike a couple more of their 4000 footers and have been filling my free time this winter hiking in Pawtuckaway a lot to finally red line the place (hike every trail on the map) which I finished doing Saturday. 32.5 miles worth of trails to be exact. Not a whole lot but there's a lot of little links so you have to hike some over and over to get them all. There's a few of my favorite pictures from the last few years that it's taken me to do it at the end of the album if you're interested.

So that's about it for now. Hopefully spring finally arrives and things warm up and we can all get outside for some sun, fun and fresh air. Until then the pictures since the last post a few weeks ago and the ones from Pawtcukaway can be found by clicking here. I've also put all the pictures I had of Nana Noveska together in one place in case anyone wants to see them of save them. You can find all of those pictures by clicking right here. The pictures from the hike Ryan and I went on in NY a couple weeks ago can be found here if you want to see them and that is about it for now. I have a few videos I might put up soon but they're not loaded to YouTube yet. Soon hopefully, but that's all for now.

Nana Noveska

Nana Noveska
Florence Lorraine Noveska, known to us and our girls as Nana Noveska, passed away this morning, March 10, 2014. She was a wonderful loving lady, grandmother and great grandmother to all of us and we're really going to miss her. I feel lucky that I got to know her over the last 13 years and that all three of our girls got to meet and know her too, even if it wasn't for nearly enough time. I said this about Nana Nana but it just as true here, I wouldn't have my family without her and the wonderful family she raised. I'm proud to be part of hers and that she was part of ours and I could never thank her enough for that. We miss you and love you Nana Noveska. May you rest in peace.
