I haven't added much to the blog in a while so I thought I'd put something up before the month is over. There's not a whole lot of exciting pictures to see because it's been a pretty rough month around here. It started with my father having another heart attack and stent put in. He came home from the hospital just in time to see the Patriots lose another Superbowl. Before he could even recover from that his Uncle Joe died and then Bundle went into the hospital for gall bladder pain and wound up having a triple by-pass and a valve replaced in Boston, which he's now recovering well from. In between that Jen, Emily and I have been fighting off minor stuff compared to all that but we've had colds, coughs and the 36 hour flu thing that's going around. I think Travis and Charlene had it, or something like it, also. Brooke has somehow (knocking on wood as I type this) managed to avoid all those germs. In between illnesses we've taken advantage of the unseasonable weather for February and gone for a little hike up Stratham Hill, taken Brooke skating in the yard and at a rink, made a trip to Brooke's favorite place (L.L. Bean) and I went for a solo hike up in the mountains one Sunday.

Not much fun stuff in there for us so we'll be happy to see February come to a close this week and move onto March, and it looks like we're going to start it off with our biggest snowstorm of the year. That wouldn't take much, only 3 inches or so, and maybe our kids will actually get to use their snowpants before they outgrow them. Poor Emily hasn't even got to go sledding yet this year we've had so little. Maybe on our trip to Vermont this weekend they'll have some for them to sled, play and maybe even ski in. We'll see. If you'd like to see the pictures we do have from February click here. Otherwise check back later for another update.

Emily's 1st Birthday!

Our baby girl Emily Ann Fieldsend turned one year old this past Saturday. It seems like it's been a fast year but when we looked back at all the pictures the other night we really did a lot in that year also. She's just about ready to walk but won't take more than a few steps on her own yet. Holding on to anything from toys to cousins she goes right along but as soon as that safety net is gone she crouches down. We're not in a rush for her to grow up though so she can take her time.

She also had her one year check up today and weighs almost 18 lbs, which put her in the 5th percentile for weight. She's right in the middle at 50th for height and everything was perfect with her the doctor said. A stringbean like her sister even though she has her chubby cheeks. She says a few words too. Koko, ball, kitty, mommy, daddy, baby and the latest was sock. "Gock" actually but she saw them a few times and said it more than once so we assume that's what she meant. She also waves, claps, plays a flute and does all the fun stuff you'd expect a happy healthy little girl to do.

Other than that we haven't done a whole lot. The biggest things were a trip to Vermont this past weekend For Anna's 4th birthday and a trip to Disney on Ice with Brooke for her Christmas present. There's pictures of Emmy's birthday party and last few weeks here if you're interested. Everything else is pretty good with us, just nothing very exciting going on. Hope things are good with all of you also and hope to see you soon!
