Not Exactly The Greatest Show On Earth

Monday night we took Brooke to the Picadilly Circus. Lets just say it's not the greatest show on earth. On top of that all the animals they said they had weren't there. No elephant, no ponies, no monkeys riding on dogs. Just the boxing Kangaroo made an appearance. Other than that it just had a few people who do everything from the clowns to the dirt bikes to the acrobatics. It wasn't horrible, especially since it was 2 for 1 tickets and kids were free but we won't be going again if they come back any time soon. Brooke enjoyed most of it, which was the important part I guess. For a few pictures of the show that I wasn't supposed to take click here or on the picture above.

Today Brooke got her first haircut. I hate it. It looks like a helmet on her head but I guess it's supposed to grow back faster now. We'll see. I miss her longer hair, even if it was shaping up to be a little mullet-like. We did need to get her bangs out of her eyes though so Jen and my Mom took Brooke to get it cut by some guy named Ron who specializes in kids hair. Everything went well, except I don't like the haircut, but Brooke didn't mind the actual cutting and it'll grow back, quickly I hope. For pictures of that and a few recent ones from around the house and yard you can click here or on the picture above.

Finally this past Sunday for Ryan's 33rd birthday, he, Greg and I went way up into Maine again to chip away at our New England 4ooo footers. We decided on Mt. Abraham and got a wonderful day for the hike. The directions and maps were pretty poor however so we also got a little adventure on the logging roads of Maine trying to find the trail. Eventually we got it right and ended up with a great hike and bagged Ryan and my 59th of the 67 4000 footers in New England. The winds were strong on top and kept the black flies away and the weather was perfect. What more could you want this time of year? There's a few rare pictures of me also because Greg brought along a camera too. Check them out here if you like.

Brooke turns the big 0-2!

Well Brooke is now two years old! Boy that was a quick two years. To celebrate her two years we had two parties, one for her little friends and one for the family and friends. Both went well. In the morning all the kids got along well, played together and danced up a storm. Then in the afternoon for the cookout it even stopped raining long enough to grill out for a few hours. Couldn't have asked for much more. We all had lots of fun, thanks again to everyone who came and hope you had fun too. If you missed it or just want to see some pictures of the party and Mothers day you can click here or on the picture above. Jen says I write books when I do this blog so I'll be trying to shorten it up from now on so that's all for now.
